Target Group ·  EWIS TG 1 & 2

TG1: “Qualified staff performing EWIS maintenance. These staff members are personnel who perform wiring systems maintenance and their training is based on their job description and the work being done by them (e.g. avionics skilled workers or technicians cat B2)”

 

TG2: “Qualified staff performing maintenance inspections on wiring systems. These staff members are personnel who perform EWIS inspections (but not maintenance), and their training is based on their job description and the work being done by them (e.g. inspectors / technicians cat B2)”

Prerequisites English language is required- aviation related technical vocabulary, Computer, Internet access

There is no software deemed necessary for this training.

Training objectives Upon completion of this course the participant will be aware of wire damage inspection and repairs, will be able to correctly identify different types of wire and reduce delays due to wiring incidents
Completion Standard The full course completion: 100%
Upon completion of the course the Participants will generate online training certificate issued by DAS (EL.147.0021), EASA Part-147 approved Maintenance Training Organization (MTO) and will be able to save it directly on the PC (pdf format) and print a copy as required. The certificate should be downloaded to PC right after the course completion.
Examination Short test after each Module. During the EWIS online training course, interactive questions are asked, seeking that student better understand the course material.
Final exam. Pass mark: 75%.
Access The User receives access to training for a period of 30 calendar days. With the exception of the final examination, the course allows for interruption and resumption at any time as needed.
Certification Certificate of Completion
Notes The online course does not cover Module G (Connective Device Repair). For this module EASA Regulations state that individuals have to be able to ‘Demonstrate the procedures for replacement of all parts of typical types of connectors found on the applicable aeroplane’. If you require this module, please download the Practical Task Sheet once logged in to the system. We can issue a full certificate once we receive a completed task sheet signed and stamped off by a Part 145 Organisation to confirm competence.

Refresher training should be conducted in a period not exceeding two years.
